Meet the Team That Moves With Heart
S.B. Taylor Moving isn't a corporation. It's a family business built by two people who couldn't stop helping others — even when they tried.
We're Brie and Steven, and this is our story.
Brie — The Caregiver Who Couldn't Stop Caring
Caregiving is in my DNA. I grew up very close to my great-grandmother and grandparents — watching them age, being there for them. It shaped who I am.
Right out of high school, I went straight into healthcare. I became a PSS, then quickly a CRMA, then a CNA. I went back for my Medical Assistant certification. I even started nursing school before eventually shifting to healthcare documentation. Twenty years of my life spent caring for veterans, hospice patients, and people living with Alzheimer's and dementia.
My patients were never just patients. I cared for them like they were my own family — and their families often told me I was like a daughter to them.
Then I met Steven, and my whole career path changed. But here's the thing — I couldn't stop being a caregiver. It's not what I do; it's who I am. So when we started S.B. Taylor Moving, I found a way to bring that part of me into the business.
Because the moving industry is completely lacking this. I understand what seniors and families in transition need better than anyone — I'd say better than anyone in the country. That's not a sales pitch. That's 20 years of holding hands, redirecting confusion, and learning what actually works.
Steven — The Gentle Giant
Steven is tall, strong, and one of the kindest people you'll ever meet.
He spent years competing in physique competitions, and honestly? Lifting furniture all day is his idea of fun. While most people dread the heavy stuff, Steven's in his element. But what people notice first isn't his strength — it's how gentle and patient he is, especially with seniors.
He knows the layouts of assisted living and memory care facilities across York and Cumberland counties like the back of his hand. That means move-ins go smoothly, without the guesswork or delays that come from a crew seeing a building for the first time.
Steven is always the first to offer help and the last to leave until everything is exactly right. If Brie is the heart of this company, Steven is the backbone.
Our Crew — They're Here Because They Care
We're picky about who joins our team. We don't just hire movers — we hire people who genuinely want to help others.
Our crew loves working here, and it shows. They're patient, respectful, and they understand that moving isn't just physical labor — it's emotional work too. When you're packing up 60 years of memories or helping someone's mom settle into a new place, you have to actually care. Our team does.
This work is hard — long days, heavy lifting, emotional situations — but it's also incredibly rewarding. When a family hugs you at the end of a move because their mom finally feels safe in her new home, that stays with you. Our crew chose this work because those moments matter to them.
A Note About Our Team
Our crew works incredibly hard — physically and emotionally — to make your move go smoothly. While tipping is never expected, it's always appreciated and goes directly to the team members who served you. If your crew went above and beyond, a tip is a meaningful way to say thank you.
You can tip your crew in cash at the end of your move, or add a tip when you finalize your payment. Either way, know that it goes straight to the people who earned it.
Why We Do This
We started S.B. Taylor Moving because we saw an industry that treated people like transactions. Load the truck, unload the truck, get to the next job. No one was slowing down to actually see the people they were serving.
We do this differently. We answer our phones. We speak clearly and never rush. We remember that the boxes we're carrying hold someone's life — their memories, their identity, their sense of home.
Whether you're moving across town or across the country, downsizing a parent or starting fresh after a hard chapter, we're here to help not just with the stuff — with the transition.
That's what S.B. Taylor Moving is all about.
